  • What size units do you offer?

    Here in East Dundee, we offer sizes ranging from 5' by 5' all the way up to 10' by 30', as well as outdoor storage for boats, trailers, and campers. Please call us to find out more about our wide variety of sizes and options.

  • How much space do I need?

    Give us a quick call and let our professional managers assist you in selecting the correct size for all of your storage needs.

  • Are there certain items I am not allowed to store?

    Yes, you may not store any of the following:

    • explosives, weapons, or any other dangerous products or materials.
    • chemicals, wastes, or any substance that may be toxic, flammable, or otherwise hazardous.
    • mothballs, camphor compounds, or any other substance which may create or emit noticeable odors.
    • food or any other perishable goods.
  • Do I have to sign a lease?

    Yes, but the leases are month-to-month and no long term commitment is required.

  • When is my rent due?

    Rent is due no later than your Anniversary Date which is based upon the date of move-in.

  • How can I pay my rent?

    Payments can be made in person, by mail, or by phone. Automatic payment can be set up to be charged to your credit card. Also, online payment is available through the link at the top of our web pages!

  • What forms of payment are accepted?

    Cash, check, and all major credit cards.

  • When can I access my unit?

    Gate hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., 365 days a year. Be sure to be out of the facility before 10:00 p.m. as the gate shuts off at 10:00 p.m. sharp! Extended hours are available on a case by case basis.

  • Is there a place where I can dispose of unwanted items from my unit?

    No. Please remove your unwanted belongings from the property. The facility dumpster is not for tenant use.

  • What do I do if my address or phone number changes?

    You are required to submit address and phone number changes in writing. Stop by the office or download the Change of Address form and return it in person, by mail, or by fax 847-428-8929.

  • How much notice must be given when I move out?

    We require seven (7) days written notice to move out.

  • What is the move-out procedure?

    Prior to vacating a unit, all rent and fees must be paid in full. The unit must be broom cleaned and your lock must be removed. To complete the move-out, you must fill out the Vacating Confirmation form and turn it in to the office or fax it to847-428-8929

  • Do I need to buy a lock from Superior Self Storage?

    No. Customers are welcome to use their own lock. For convenience, padlocks and cylinder locks are also available for purchase on-site for those who do not already have one. For security and privacy, Superior Self Storage does not keep keys to customer locks—only the customer has access to their storage unit.
